BUSINESS CONTINUITY PLAN
Our commitment to clients
The new three-tier restrictions in England and tough new regulations in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have created further uncertainty across our sector. Our CGA teams are meeting these new challenges by continuing to provide the market insights and intelligence that are urgently needed as pubs, bars and restaurants respond and adapt to stay the course.
Ever since the pandemic took hold, we’ve been working hard to deliver analysis of market trends, guest behaviour and business sentiment. We’ve undertaken research in 8 markets across the globe, surveyed nearly 200,000 consumers and interviewed just under 4000 operators since the start of the pandemic. We would like to thank all our partners, sponsors, and clients whose support has enabled us to continue our efforts to keep our industry informed.
We’re committed to supporting our industry’s trade bodies and have worked closely with UKHospitality to support its tireless lobbying work on behalf of businesses,
UKHospitality CEO Kate Nicholls says: “CGA’s support over the last six months has been exceptional and invaluable in UKHospitality’s work—both into government and through the media, and indeed to our members. Working closely together, the data CGA has provided has been a great help in our efforts to influence government policy for the better. As Hospitality tries to recover, the future of the sector is still very much in the balance. We will continue to work closely together as partners supporting the industry.”
From sales tracking to consumer surveys to expert webinars to intelligence for government, CGA continues to be at the heart of hospitality’s rebuilding. As we face up to major unprecedented challenges this autumn and winter, CGA will continue to do all it can to support the industry. Thank you to everyone who has helped us so far, and we wish you well. Together we’re stronger.
Phil Tate, Group CEO, CGA
On the advice of the Government, all of our employees are now working from home and our physical offices in Stockport, Birkenhead and Chicago are currently closed. Our priority is – and always will be – our people.
All of our staff are comfortable working from home and we are confident our people are prepared. Your account teams are readily available by email, phone or video conference to help. We are continuing to treat this time as ‘business as usual.’ All of our team members are equipped with the technology they need to ensure they can continue to work effectively wherever they are.
We have policies in place which cover the appropriate way to work securely when out of the office to ensure confidentiality and the protection of data.
All internet connections on CGA laptops to our network are protected using secure VPN technology.
Along with following and adhering to all of the Government guidelines in place, we have also performed a full business impact assessments across our group (CGA, Nielsen CGA and CPL Learning) to identify potential risks and prepare for the continuation of services under a worse case scenario. We are working hard to mitigate the impact coronavirus will have on critical business functions, products and services.
