Steak restaurant group Flat Iron is opening a ninth restaurant on James Street in Marylebone on 9 November. Flat Iron has eight other London restaurants in Soho, Covent Garden, Kings Cross, Tottenham Court Road, Shoreditch, London Bridge and Spitalfields, plus one in Aldgate that remains closed.

The Daisy Green Australian cafe group has opened a new flagship venue on Canalside Walk by the Grand Union Canal in Paddington. It has an in-house bakery as well as restaurant and café offers. Daisy Green has ten other venues around London.

Brewery and pub operator Everards says it will open its new brewery, beer hall and shop in the spring. The Everards Meadows site is in 70 acres of space close to the M1 in Leicestershire.

Street food collective Kerb is opening a new market in London’s Mayfair next week. It will operate on South Molton Street from 12pm to 7pm from Wednesday to Friday, with traders including Arnabeet, Ehla, Kolkati, Liberty Kitchen, Ground and Piddaji.

The Big Smoke Brew Co has opened a new pub on Dalling Road in Hammersmith called The Prince of Wales Townhouse. The Big Smoke Brew Co also operates in Chichester, Kingston, Surbiton, Weybridge and Wokingham.

Manchester’s US-style bar restaurant Brewski is opening a third venue: a pizza restaurant called American Pies MCR. Brewski’s venues are on Mosley Street in Manchester and Chorlton.

Loaded Burgers has signed to open a new 3,400 square feet restaurant at the Riverside development in Rochdale early next year. Loaded Burgers currently operates seven restaurants in Liverpool and various outskirts of London.

Five Guys has reopened its restaurant at the Designer Outlet in Swindon after taking on an adjacent retail unit there.

Atul Kochhar’s restaurants group has opened a new Indian restaurant in Marlow called Vaasu. It is a second location in Marlow after the Sindhu restaurant, and a fifth location for the group in all, joining Hawkyns in Amersham, Indian Essence in Orpington and Kanishka in London’s Mayfair.

The Amity Brew Co is opening a first brewpub in Farsley. The 2,500 square foot microbrewery and taproom will also have an outdoor terrace. Amity launched earlier this year.

Bristol-based vegan mezze restaurant Koocha is opening on Cheltenham Road. It has taken over a unit that was previously operated by pizza restaurant Flour & Ash. Koocha currently operates on Gloucester Road in Bristol.

Aberdeen-based craft brewer The Fierce Beer Co is planning to open a bar in an undisclosed location in Newcastle. It will join current bars in Edinburgh and Manchester as well as Aberdeen.

Crazy golf operator Plonk has just opened its fourth site at Peckham Levels, with street food from Ipanema Grill and Boxwallah.

The Red Lion Yard and Lion Walk development in Colchester has signed three dessert retailers: Victoria Yum, a café and bakery relocated from Hackney, Choccy Heaven, a local chocolatier; and Minerva Chocolates.
